Membership Post (v.2)

Hi there! :D First and foremost, thank you for your interest in joining my subbing community! I am the “leftover subber” and focus on subbing Arashi files that have been abandoned or forgotten by other subbing communities. I also release subs of files that have gone lost in the fandom, or anything else that may tickle my fancy. Oh, and I do take requests!

If you are looking for an explanation of why I opened this subbing community, feel free to visit THIS POST. This is a revision of my original membership post, as the comment count on the old one is reaching its limit! *_*

I’ve changed my application process a little bit, so please read the entire post. You may have seen similar rules at other communities, but the requirements and steps for joining mine are different. Plus, chances are, you’ll only have to read this post once, anyway, so might as well be thorough now and save trouble later, right?


I know most of you are familiar with the fandom rules, but here is the obligatory list. When you comment, I will assume that you have read this post and are therefore held accountable and responsible as a member of this community.

The Rules:

Regarding subbed files:

1. DO NOT UPLOAD to online streaming sites.


2. DO NOT SELL subs for profit.


3. DO NOT REPOST links (reuploading files counts as reposting).


4. DO NOT CLAIM as your own.


5. DO NOT SHARE files elsewhere (includes Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, privately with friends, etc.).


6. DO NOT REENCODE files (includes other formats).


7. DO NOT PROVIDE MIRRORS unless I have personally approached you for help.

Regarding translations:

1. DO NOT RETRANSLATE into other languages. By this, I mean that you cannot use the translations on my subbed files to translate again into another language.


2. DO NOT USE without permission.

Regarding the community:

1. Please be courteous and respectful of other members. I want this place to be a comfy, rainbowy community; I hope you all feel the same. :).

Important Disclaimers:
Sorry, this is the only part that has to sound mean. I wish I didn't have to say any of this, but I feel it is necessary for the safety of my subs and the longevity of my community.

1. I reserve the right to decline membership requests, and modify or terminate existing members based on current or previous offenses of the fansub rules. There are serial offenders and, though this fandom is large, it is small enough that if someone catches you breaking the rules, subbers will be notified. This is also why a lot of subbers left the fandom in the past, so please be nice and discreet!


2. I do not accept non-LJ accounts. If you do not have an LJ account, please create one. It’s free! ;)


3. Please do not demand that I accept your membership request. I absolutely love fansubbing, but keep in mind that everything I post here is strictly voluntary. No fansubber is obligated to provide subs for anyone, and it is not our responsibility to give anyone anything. I do what I do because I love Arashi and want to share that love with international fans through translations and subs.

How to Join:

1. Due to the high number of membership requests I receive, I will now open membership for the first week (7 days) of every month (JST 0:00-23:59). On the 8th of every month, membership will be closed until the following month. Any comment or join request received on the 8th or later will not count and will be declined. Please wait until membership is open again.


2. Leave a comment below between the 1st-7th of each month. Your comment should tell me that you’ve read the contents of this post. You can introduce yourself however you'd like. If you know me or of me from a different social media platform, please let me know where.


3. Click “join community.” That’s it! :)

• If you forget this step, I will let you know in a reply comment. Once you get this notice from me, please click “join community,” then reply to my comment to you. FYI: Because of the high volume of membership applications I receive, if you forget this step, your request will be filled after I’ve gone through the rest of the queue. Please remember this important step if you do not want to delay approval!

I run this community alone. There is no team. It’s just me.
I translate, time, typeset, and QC every sub released at amnosxsubs.
I also moderate this community alone and personally welcome each new member.

This means that membership processing will take longer than what you may be used to at other communities. I have a demanding, full-time job and that does take priority. That being said, if you do not hear back from me within a months’ time (30 days inclusive), feel free to comment again, as I may have missed your previous attempt. Please also refer to #1 under “Important Disclaimers” and #1 under “How to Join.” Again, fansubbers are not obligated to provide subs for anyone. We do this because we want to.

Thanks again for your interest in joining my humble, subbing community! :3 I treat each release like my children; a lot of time, effort, and cups of coffee go into each sub. I appreciate you trusting my work, and it brings me joy when I hear that my members enjoyed watching my subs. :)
